A day in D.C.

Broc and I had the amazing opportunity to go back east for our friends, Peter and Ketty's wedding (pictures to come).
We were able to squeeze in a day to spend in the nations capital between all the wedding festivities.
I had been there a couple times before but Broc had never seen this amazing city and I was so excited to show it to him. {after all, one of his favorite things to watch is the History Channel}.

Things we were able to see in one day:
Air and Space Smithsonian
Natural History Smithsonian
American History Smithsonian
National Archives (The Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights)
Washington Monument
White house
Nations capital

Things we wish we had time to see:
Lincoln Memorial
Fords Theater
Library of Congress

It was a pretty full day and by the end of it, we were happy to get back to the hotel and soak our feet.
It was a day we will always remember, partly because it was in an unbelievable city but mostly because it was an entire day spent together.

Where we learned to love

Apt. C-102 will always have a little piece of my heart.
Not because it was a luxury suite by any means,
but because that is where our lives molded into one.
It was here that we learned to cook, pay bills, fight and make up.
We learned how to steam vegetables, save change, and avoid large electrical payments.
But most of all, it was here, in this small space,
that we learned how to love each other more every day.
It was here where we shared our first home
and learned how married people survive.
In this small space, the memories as newly weds took place.
When I tell my children about mine and their dad's "early days",
it is here that my mind will smile upon.
Our first Hafen home.

And we left her just the way we found her.

My 6 year old sister Lexi helped me gather the last of our things before locking the door for the last time. She yelled "see ya later old pal" as she blew a kiss inside the front door.
A tear rolled down my cheek as we pulled out of the parking lot.
And then I thought of the adventures that lie before us.
And I could not be more excited.

A new home.

I can really judge how busy my life is when I have not had time to watch the biggest loser finale yet or the last 3 weeks of modern family. A little pathetic I know.
Life is the busiest I think it has ever been.
And I have made that definitive statement quite a few times in my life,
but I really mean it this time.
Although it is busy... it is also the most exciting time I have ever had.

And why you might ask...

Because not only are we having a baby in 5 MONTHS! (ahh)...

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

She is definitely a fixer-upper.
But that is always the kind I wanted.
She has the character that you seem to only get with older homes
And a view that people who build in Stone Cliff pay millions for.
She is our new home.
And she is perfect....

will be perfect
after hours and hours of renovation

M.O.T.H.E.R.

How could I sum up how we feel about our two AMAZING mothers?
I don't think that I could have sung any better than my good friend Al Borland.

Happy Mother's Day Jilynne and Brenda!
We love you more than you could possibly know.

Cap, Gown and a pair of Converse. yup.

Broc was so funny on the day of his graduation.
And if you know anything about Broc, you wouldn't be surprised.
We were leaving and I noticed he was in jeans, a tshirt and converse.
I told him he should at least put on a pair of slacks and nice shoes.
He declined.
When we got to the graduation he had his cap and gown in the packaging still and asked a lady where he was suppose to go, she said "no where until you are dressed for graduation!"
So he got dressed on the stair case in front of everyone.

He told me he had to go to work right after but between me and his mom, we wouldn't let that happen and took him out for a lunch celebration.

I am so proud of this guy.
From this story, you wouldn't think that school was a high priority for him.
But it secretly is.
And he is really, really good at it.

Dang Nicaragua

Last year my little sister Ashley decided to ditch us and head to Hawaii for the summer.
I thought surely she wouldn't do that to us again since I miss her too much when she is gone.
Oh never fear, she just decided to go to Nicaragua instead for summer '12.
She left this week and secretly I am not very happy about it.
It's just not the same without her around.
I was feeling very nostalgic when writing this. And that made me miss her even more.
Pardon the overload of pictures.

One happy day.

There is this girl I have known for a while.
And when I say a while, I mean my entire life.
Her name is Katie.

Katie loves the color red, drinking out of straws, anything to do with writing and reading, Germany and sewing. She hates shopping and loves to make homemade "saltsa" (salsa). She has naturally auburn hair that she will argue is more red than brown and naps more than any other person I know.
Katie is my best friend.
And we share the same grandparents.
Katie has always had a history of boy problems.
Mostly because she has commitment issues and she can't help that
every boy she meets falls in love with her.
No boy was ever cool enough to keep Katie for more than a few dates.
And for 23 years Katie thought she would just wait until the millennium to get married.
And I started to believe her.
...

And then there was CJ
And he changed everything.
And April 28th 2012 was the happiest day for these two.

I have seen Katie at her happiest. But never have I seen her glowing like she was that day.

CJ, you got a good one.

mrs. grinch

I have definitely been feeling a little more "pregnant" these last few weeks. And by "pregnant" I guess I just mean "chubby". In fact, I feel like my body has transformed into one of these characters.

Which is not entirely true Broc keeps telling me. Not yet at least. But I sure feel like it. We had our second doctors appointment this week. Unfortunately Broc was out of town and had to miss it :( but I got to hear the heart beat! It was incredible. It was a nice reminder that someone is actually in there. I start to doubt that because of how not sick I've been. It has been such a blessing to have been able to keep up with my normal routine. Especially dance, I don't know what I would do without that! So I can proudly say that we are officially in the 2nd trimester! How exciting.
We shall see if finals doesn't kill my husband this week. I would hate to be a single mom.
Good luck Broc!
(my finals are art classes-easy cheesy!)

Aced that Test

It was March 2nd 2012. I had stopped taking my birth control in December and after talking to some of my mommy friends, I was prepared for it to take a few months to get some positive news.
Even though I knew this, I secretly wanted it to happen right away and in a way kind of believed it would

So with every new month that came, I took a pregnancy test. January-Negative, February-Negative. So March came around and I was a couple days late, if you know what I'm saying. So as I was sitting in my video editing class at the college, I texted Broc and suggested that maybe we take another test that night. I could almost hear his voice and see his expression as I read the text.
"REALLY!! Okay! Do we have one left at the apartment!".
It was something to that extent. Maybe without the capital letters, I mean it is Broc.
So the day went on, it was a friday so I just had work and when I got home the first thing he said to me was "Okay you ready? I need to shower, do you want to take the test first or do you want me to shower first or what??"
I had almost forgot about the earlier suggestion but it was obviously on his mind all day. It made me so happy to see how excited he was. What a cute husband. I was still a little apprehensive about taking it because I didn't want another negative result. And with the luck I seem to always have, it would have been. But I went ahead a took it. I flipped it over because watching that little "I'm thinking I'm thinking" icon on the screen was too much anticipation for me.

I opened the bathroom door and Broc and I just started taking. I don't even remember what we were talking about but half way through a sentance, I casually picked up the test and glanced at it...

 "pregnant"

I stopped mid-word  as my jaw dropped and my eyes feeled with tears as I showed the positive test to Broc. A gorgeous but true smile formed on his face and he hugged me like he did the first time he told me he loved me. We were speachless and wrapped in eachother arms for what seemed like hours. It was probably only 3 or 4 minutes but I will remember that moment for the rest of my life. Shortly after, it was all we could do to kneel down and thank our Heavenly Father for the news and the amazing opportunity and calling that lay ahead of us.

Broc got his shower in and immediately wanted to scream the news from the rooftops. Although I wanted to keep it our little secret for atleast a night, he convinced me to go share the news with our parents.
First stop was Broc's house. It was Broc's mom Jilynne's birthday just a few days prior so we told her that we had a belated birthday gift for her. We had wrapped a baby bottle and as she opened it, she threw her hands in the air and yelled "YESSS!!!".

Broc's dad Travis was speachless... and beaming. It was good to talk to Jilynne because she works at the hospital and knows all the good doctors. She recommended Dr. Clark (who we already love!).

Next we went and had a little dinner date just Broc and I. We were both giddy through the whole meal. I couldn't stop thinking about the miracle that little test confirmed. We talked about how we were going to tell my parents. This was going to be a bit tougher. My parents still have little ones at home and I think the thought of being a "grandpa" scares the living daylights out of my dad. If it were his way, I would have traveled the world, served a mission, married at 25, got my masters degree, and had kids by 30. Sorry dad, I found a boy I just couldn't resist at age 16.
Your plan was shot from day one.

We went and bought little onesies that said "giggles for grandma" and "grandpas team" and went to my house. When we got there, my siblings were everywhere. That's not uncommon when there are 8 people still living in that house. I couldn't think of a way to just get my mom and dad together. So after about an hour of talking with everyone, my dad announced that he was going to bed. Great. After about 10 minutes I just said "mom, come into your room!" I turned the lights on on my dad trying to fall asleep. We broke the news and they could not be more thrilled. My mom kept saying "REALLY! REALLY!" and my dad, sitting in bed half asleep had that smile that just told me everything I needed to hear without him actually saying anything. It was a perfect evening. I could not be more grateful for the supportive parents that we have and the amazing and excited husband that I am blessed with. Life is just oh too good.

Little noses and Ice Cream

My baby sister Alexa, bless her heart, is the best cuddler you will ever meet. However, as soon as she starts to dose off, Darth Vader possesses her body and you have to put a pillow around your head just to try and get some sleep. Poor girl hasn't been able to breathe well for the 6.5 years of her life. So after trying many home and doctor remedies, we decided enough was enough. She was getting those adenoids out. My mom tried to calm her nerves once Lexa heard the word "surgery" by telling her that she would let her stay home from school the day she got them out. Then my mom accidentally scheduled her surgery on a day that they didn't even have school anyways. Lexa definitely felt jipped. But at least she now has lots of siblings to get her ice cream runs. That and the "visitors" were the two things she was excited about. So go pay her a visit :) The doctor said after the surgery that her adenoids were 95% enlarged! No wonder her teeny tiny nose could barely suck air in. She is doing great!
I promised her a snow cone, a red one.

Spring break '12

This year for spring break we were able to take one day off of work. And very lucky to get that much. My family had a mini trip planned to Brian Head and we couldn't think of a better way to spend our spring break day. So although St. George was as warm as it has been since last September, we left for the snow.
Some of the most memorable moments:
-My dad going through the drive thru at Arbys while Broc, my mom and I went inside pretending not to know each other so we could each use a coupon to buy enough sandwiches for the family. We got 4 for free. That's the only way the Wades ever eat out.
-Lexi forgetting a warm hat on the slopes so my parents trying to make princess leia buns around her ears to keep them warm.
-Michael eating cereal out of a measuring cup with measuring spoons because the dishes were all dirty.
-Trying to fit 10 people around a table with 6 chairs for dinner.
-Also trying to fit 10 people on a hid-a-bed to watch a movie
-Lexi skiing for the first time! And loving it.
-Michael confessing to me on the lift that he hated that his little brother Mitch was better than him at skiing.

We had a great time with all 10 members of my family skiing down the mountain together.
And not one injury!

❤ V-day ❤

There are various theories on the origin of Valentine's Day, but the most popular dates back to the time of the Roman Empire during the reign of Claudius II, 270 AD. Claudius didn't want men to marry during wartime because he believed single men made better soldiers. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and performed secret wedding ceremonies. For this, Valentine was jailed and then executed by order of the Emperor on February 14. While in jail, he wrote a love note to the jailor's daughter signing it, "From your Valentine." Sound familiar?
Some other fun Valentines Day facts...

Many believe the 'X' symbol became synonymous with the kiss in medieval times. People who couldn't write their names signed in front of a witness with an 'X.' The 'X' was then kissed to show their sincerity.

In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who would be their Valentine. They would wear this name pinned onto their sleeves for one week for everyone to see. This was the origin of the expression "to wear your heart on your sleeve."

Over $1 billion worth of chocolate is purchased for Valentine's Day in the U.S.

189 million stems of roses are sold in the U.S. on Valentine's Day.

Every Valentine's Day, the Italian city of Verona, where Shakespeare's lovers Romeo and Juliet lived, receives about 1,000 letters addressed to Juliet.

Last fact: I am totally and completely in love with Broc Hafen

Today marks the 6th anniversary of our first date.
Happy Valentines day!

stay humble

Monday afternoon I got a text
This is what it said..
"Mandatory meeting tonight at 9 pm at the Vault! Clear up your schedules tomorrow, school, work, EVERYTHING. You won't regret it. Don't ask questions because I can't talk. See you there. Oh, bring dance clothes."

So naturally I was on pins and needles.
Aren't you?

9:00 came.
we said a prayer.
then we listened to Tia tell us the amazing news.
A talent scout from Americas Got Talent saw some of our youtube videos and called because she wanted us to come down to a VIP invitation audition for the show.
She she was impressed with our talent and possibly more impressed that we use it purely for service.
The room was silent as tears filled eyes and loud girls became speechless.
The fact that they found us is amazing in and of itself. But the real celebration was the vision of spreading our cause and what we do to more than just our small community.

After hearing that they wanted us in Las Vegas the following morning with a bomb routine to perform for the producers, we had A LOT of 'wurk' to do.
And we got right down to it.
Shredding out a routine until 2:30 a.m.
(and I say 'shred' because that is literally how my muscles felt afterwards)

The next morning we piled into the 15 passenger van and headed for Vegas.
Tia is the only one with real professional audition experience, so she was giving us the 411 on what to expect and what they are looking for.
But the best advice she's ever given,
'stay humble'.

The audition went great! We were on a tiny stage in a comedy club of the casino and did the best we could with what they gave us. One of the producers gave us great compliments and feedback, however, she wanted to see if we had more versatility and more importantly, 'tricks'.
Uhhhh...
we are dancers, not acrobats.
But tricks win shows like Americas Got Talent.
So tricks it is.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPEUt3WNK5IILevx_rZuQr_v0y5iqY7atFe-Z8bfECaS3V79yBLQff6P740ioR82y1SD6nHQigTk9Rn1eRCQ2WhOqQ4bShTdi8lRA4ANIb42oLfNcX8OGhzUuGyl3D5rQ4yDZvHo8VPq4/s1600/418994_3319567516338_1482792105_33268785_997245117_n.jpg

They asked us to submit a video of something different to go along with the audition we gave them. They wanted the video by friday. So again we went back to work.

Wednesday morning 5 a.m.
We decided to do a really awesome, hard hitting,
"what you think when you think hip hop" kind of routine.
We spent 2 hours making it pretty darn cool and were feeling good about it.

Wednesday night
Tia had a gut feeling that we shouldn't do that routine.
And we rolled with it. We changed about 180 degrees and whipped out our circus number from the concert in December. And we started adding 'tricks'.
Tricks that we had never attempted before.
It was quite terrifying.

Thursday morning 4:30 a.m.
We mastered the "roller coaster trick" as we called it.
And more importantly, Sami was fearless in our Kalamity version of a back tuck.

Thursday night
Cleaned, cleaned, cleaned the routine.
As we said our prayer to start practice, we were all pretty amazed and impressed that we pulled it together in just 2 days. There was definitely some divine help. And we never fail to recognize that.

Friday morning 4:00 a.m.
Ran the routine facing the opposite way so we got use to doing the tricks without mirrors.
Got decked out in our sweet costumes and headed to Snow Canyon High School to meet Jeff to film. The techies were so helpful!
(which is sometimes
almost always hard to come across,
especially when we had them come meet us at 6 a.m.)

Well, the video is submitted and the waiting game begins.

To tell you the truth, I would love it if we had a chance to be on TV and show what we are about.
What we stand for and what we believe in.
But I am totally satisfied with the accomplishment of this week.
I know it's hard for others who aren't involved to understand, but when you put your whole heart and soul into something, when you literally leave blood, sweat and tears on the floor at 4 a.m.
and most importantly when you feel like Heavenly Father is on your right hand helping you accomplish something bigger and greater than yourself,
well there's no greater feeling.
I loved what Tia said this morning during practice
"Well Heavenly Father is going to do what he wants with Kalamity. We just have to prove to him that we will work for whatever it is he needs us for".

high hopes

We made a big step as a married couple/adults this week.
We put an offer on a house.
A white sided, black roofed, red doored, picket fenced home.
It was perfect.
Yes it was built in the 1930's and the whole interior would have to be re-done, but that is what excited me the most about it. Remodeling.
I could finally put all of my pinterest ideas to good use.
I have been dying in my white walled apartment
and have longed for a place to make "ours" since we got married.
I had the whole house mapped out.
What colors each wall would be.
What light fixture I would hang above the kitchen sink.
What I would have put on the beautiful brick mantle
that I had already planned on painting white.
I even planned out the garden we would start in the spring.

All along our realtor kept saying things like "don't get your heart set on anything until the papers are signed" and "it usually takes a few offers on a few different houses before you get the fish to bite". I heard everything he said but it went right out the other ear as I dreamed of the coral paint I would use if our first baby was a girl.
We fasted and prayed about what to offer and came up with a price that we thought could win it and more importantly what we could afford.

But they didn't take it.

Out of 20+ bids, ours was just another one thrown under the table.
I know it's silly but my heart sort of hurt when we got the news.
I had already pictured my kids sitting on the bench I was going to build in the kitchen corner telling me about their day at school.
Oh well.
Prayers are answered in silly ways sometimes.
I know we'll get a home that will be ours sooner or later.

And it will be perfect.

Meanwhile, I will just continue preparing for that day like I did this weekend.
Getting in touch with my creative and perfectionist side.
A rug.
Voila

This handsome guy turns the big

I was thinking about doing a post like last year where I named a bunch of random facts about him but then I remember how much time that took me away from the birthday boy so I decided to just smother you all with pictures.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCpO6HhMXA1A40ovUGcK-1W6v5pYOGF3qO3VFBn-iqfB6I1k7_69ABwJUmUXNSlV9UmzgDOk5SxTWhbcNkOIbzaMJS3dl7nIrdGbN5m2hoHQk-LUD3gMhP9JpkFxGsW-btauyXq3EpLy2M/s1600/brocschoolpics.jpg

Isn't he just the cutest?
Anyways, I love this boy more than I know how to put into words.
So much that I let him open all of his birthday presents last night.
(After he begged me for 3 hours)
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieQLyikHNh9RYTYHf8a3eXjtt6EUMCGS34_x7RptcHgoBTiVec_6MfhaL4XqBM_c-H_xFKFRJ4vC1loBn9uM6JK5mHe1wRpdG2uWcPSU1oIdF8uPO4kTPCqewZZ-V5fzJ63sd6MvRGJzqC/s1600/IMG_8067.JPG
Oh but these aren't the ones from last night.
These were his birthday presents he opened last week.
He knows that early present opening only happens for his birthday.
I put my foot down on Christmas.

I asked some of Broc's closest to write down their favorite memories of Broc. If you didn't know Broc before, I think you'll get a pretty good idea of who he truly is after you read these entries...

Ryan Steck: On our road trip to Idaho Broc decides he is thirsty, but the cooler of mountain dew is in the back of the truck, so he decides to climb out threw the window into the bed of the truck (no, not the beer window, the actual side window!)...while we're going 80 mph. He successfully passes in cans of mountain dew for everyone and then climbs back into the cab. nbd. Second story: One summer I dared Broc to swallow a whole fudgesicle. So he did. Outrageous.

Tyler Carlson: So one night we are all chilling at my house contemplating what crazy, outrageous activities would occupy our evening when someone decides that there is too much cream cheese in my refrigerator. To summarize, Final Score: Broc-1, Entire Block of Cream Cheese-0. Few men have attempted such a feat and lived to tell the tale. Broc is my hero.

Devin Willie: When we were car-surfing one night Broc just took off into the desert and was gone for like ten minutes. He suddenly reappeared with a fire extinguisher that he started firing off. Crystal (who was driving) hit the gas and we drove off into the distance and into legend.

Chad Casey: First and foremost the day I say an orange classic chevy truck with a bed full of ice and laying on that ice... was mountains and mountains of the green liquid referred to as "The fountain of youth", "The sweat of Buda" or "Christian Bales urine" yes it was the 4th of July and Broc's truck was filled with Mt. Dew. I only knew one man that could down a Dew like Broc, Grandfather Ernest Francis Casey.

Kai Anderson: It's got to be all the Goldfish he ate in one sitting on the drive up north.. My memory is a little fuzzy but it was somewhere between a gallon and a million suns worth :S

Mitch Hancock: Shivwitz=1,000 rounds of ammunition shot into and through a tree. Golfing on an indian reservation. Spooning. Lighting a gas can with gas in it on fire. Almost driving the truck into a ditch. Camping on the side of the road. Broc wearing canvas slip on shoes when there is snow on the ground. Food for 6-7 eaten by me and broc in 2 days. Flaming Ice block. Broc smoking a tortilla filled with berries.

Addison Jenkins: In the MTC you're constantly sitting in often cramped chairs (devotionals, classrooms, meetings, cafeteria) and I guess my feet are kind of clumsy because I was ALWAYS scuffing his beautifully shined shoes. So shiny you could see your reflection. I felt bad and tried to be careful, but no matter what, I always ended up scuffing his shoes. True to form, Broc would always say something to the effect of "Elder Jenkins, if you scuff my shoes one more time, I will personally punch you in the face." The threat changed each time, but it was always "personal"

Tyler Prax: when he came on a family trip to disneyland where we had too much fun. first by trying to steal the keys from the dogs my mouth on the pirates and Caribbean with a lightsaber . second thing buying mickey pilot hats and waking on rides in slow motion.

Russ Christensen: a good memory would be when broc was angry at devin and I because we put exlax in this girls hot chocolate, which was intended to broc, not this girl. Yeah... Broc wasn't too happy...

Clayton Allen: The many times we were bargaining with people on the mission and they wouldn't give us the price we wanted, Broc would turn to me and say, "Allen, If she doesn't give us the price we want, you're taking your shirt off."

Jessica Esplin McArthur: one of my favorite memories is when brady and broc showed up to the forth of july party (or some holiday like that) wearing pretty much the exact same thing. i still laugh every time i think about it.

Katie Wade: I have a lot of good memories of Broc and about 90% of them are us making fun of each other and giving each other a hard time (mostly his fault.) But Broc has a way of making sure people knows he cares about them even when he keeps it a secret most of the time. ;)

Ashley Wade: about a month ago some of my friends were at the house and Broc and Erin came over- Broc with his gun tucked into the back of his pants. I was wondering why my friends got so quiet when they showed up.

Taylor Wade: One of my favorite memories of Broc was when he devised the plan to re-move Ashley's desk into the craft room. You see Ashley had taken this desk without permission and spent over an hour sneakily moving it by herself into her room. We came home from church to find Ashley's scheme and some of us were not too happy. So Broc came up with the idea to move it back to where it came from, then when Ashley came home she would be expecting the nice desk to be waiting for her, only for her to discover that it was gone! And the best part, when she came down the stairs screaming, we were to say nothing about our plan. It would just seem like some strange dream that she wouldn't be able to figure out.
The whole plan worked out great. Moving the desk, Ashley screaming from her room in a panic, but one of the little kids blabbered on us and we soon got Ashley's wrath. Still it was super fun and quite hilarious. Except the part about dad making us move the desk for the 3rd time, back into Ashley's room...

Happy Birthday Broc.
You are loved more than you know.
Muah!

Juice Fast

Tonight is the start of a crazy attempt to better health in the Hafen home.
Broc saw a documentary on Netflix about a guy that went on a juice diet and made amazing improvements on his health. He has been wanting to do a juice fast ever since.
When he mentioned it, I could only think of the segment
on Modern Family and how miserable it was going to be.
But tonight we spent our grocery money solely in the produce department.
Here goes nothing.

I'm not going to lie, I'll probably cheat.
But Broc is determined to DRINK nothing but fruits and veggies until his birthday!
That's two weeks away!
Please pray for him.

Sending wishes to Georgia

It's this guy's birthday today.

Sadly he is in Atlanta doing what he does, being a professional traveler.
Or at least as a kid that's always what I thought he did for a living.
Can't wait for you to come home so we can really party and give you the birthday you deserve.
I love you dad.
You are the best man I know.
happy birthday.

love, your little girl

Parents of 5

The Arnolds are like a our second family. My sisters and I have been their babysitters ever since I can remember. Blake and Becky go on quite a few vacations and when that happens, Broc and I become sudden parents of 5. We have made it to day 4 and are still somewhat sane so we're doing good! Let me introduce you to our kids...

This is Abby.
She loves volleyball, cooking, and fantasy football. She is officially a "pre-teen" and comes with all that that entails... friend drama, makeup, lots of tears, and a different mood every 15 minutes. She also has the best eyelashes ever!

This is Whitney.
She loves pink, sparkles, skirts, the Biebs, and Disney Channel. Whitney loves to play pretend and has the wildest of imaginations, she definitely keeps us entertained. Whitney is turning 8 next week and reminds everyone every couple hours just in case we have forgotten. She is the best fake crier I have seen and would make a fantastic actress!

Meet Spencer.
He is a kindergartener and loves it. He loves football and sometimes would rather watch espn than Phineas and Ferb. Spencer is sick this week and actually "puked ALL over the bus" (words the secretary used when she called the other morning). He loves to wrestle with Broc until he is so tired he can't get off the ground. Spencer is the best at going to bed, I don't even have to ask him twice.

This is Tatum, oops... Jeanette.
Jeanette is the name she is going by this week and won't respond to anything else. Tatum has many nicknames; TT, Tait, Taity Bug (my personal fav). Tatum is obsessed with Nutella, and obsessed would actually be an understatement. Her love for nutella balances out her hate for every other food. She is literally "scared" of vegetables. Tatum is the funniest little talker and has her key phrases like "oh it's okay" or "you got it?". She loves Jessie from "stoy stoyee" (toy story), Repunzel from Tangled and Jeanette from Alvin and the chipmunks.

This is Keegan.
He is my little buddy, I get to spend every tuesday and thursday morning with him. Keegan has the cutest personality. He loves to learn words and copy his siblings. Keegan loves cars and could play with them all day. He can't live without his blanky or his baba. He has to wear a bib everywhere because he drools enough to give himself a bath. He is a little light in my life and I find myself missing him when I'm not around.

So this is our life this week. When one is hungry, the other one is tired. When two are fighting, the other one is throwing up. I have empathy for moms this week and I keep having to remind myself that they only come 1 at a time and not 5, otherwise I don't think I'd ever be baby hungry. Even though it is tiring, Broc and I find so much joy in these children. When I see Broc with them, I can't help but think of how lucky our kids are going to be to have such a RAD DAD!
